My Docs Online Delivers Enterprise Edition Upgrade With Unprecedented Features For Managing Shared Business Files
Enhanced Version Now Offers Customer Upload Capability For Expanded And Secure Internet-Based File Sharing Within Organizations And For Business Partner Collaboration
Naples, FL. - December 17, 2002 - My Docs Online, a leader in virtual drive file access, sharing and collaboration for business professionals, today announced the next generation of their Enterprise Edition service, an Internet-based solution that provides file sharing, file delivery, and collaboration for organizations, remote workgroups, customers and business partners.
The new Enterprise Edition enhancements include expanded flexibility and customization of folder permissions, user views and access privileges, making it even easier for companies to securely deliver, view, and manage shared files. The Enterprise Edition also introduces an unprecedented Customer Upload feature that provides secure delivery of files, including the transfer of large files, from customers or vendors outside of the Enterprise group. Customers view and access only their exclusive folders.
"My Docs Online Enterprise Edition provides us with a secure and reliable way to share critical files with several external organizations and vendors," said Francois Lemay, Systems Analyst at Brascan Power Services, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. "The Enterprise Edition was quickly implemented, is easy- to-use, and provides the scalability we need."
The Enterprise Edition now offers more comprehensive folder and user permissions, allowing the administrator to specify folder views and permissions on a user-by-user basis. Files can be uploaded from any browser with a few clicks, triggering notification to a designated recipient that the files have been placed in an assigned folder.
In addition, the Enterprise Edition includes an Upload Manager for Windows, a new specialized application designed to make uploading important folders and files fast and easy. The Upload Manager can move entire folders with subfolders, selected files, or only new and updated files from a PC to a My Docs Online account.
"In my business, we build visual portfolio websites for designers, artists and architects. They send us hundreds of large graphic files. There simply isn't a better solution for us than My Docs Online," said John Lasiter, Owner of Qfolio.com. "The product is simple to use, elegant and cost effective. Our clients love it. As the Enterprise Edition product has developed, it is clear to me that the customers' needs have driven the feature set. In my mind, My Docs Online offers a New-Economy product with Old-Economy business acumen: Keep it good, keep it cost-effective, keep it responsive to your customers and keep it around."
"Our customers value flexibility to add features as their needs grow, along with hassle-free implementation and low administrative overhead," said Julie Campbell, Enterprise Edition Product Manager at My Docs Online. "We think our customers will be delighted with the immediate and visible gains in productivity that this new version provides."
Additional features include an optional, private file storage area for each group member similar to a My Docs Online Individual account, optional outbound faxing of files and support for all major wireless platforms including Palm OS, RIM BlackBerry and Web-enabled phones. Enterprise Edition subscriptions require no software downloads and are priced per seat starting at $14.95 per quarter.
